The Ocean Steward II - Advanced Open Water Scholarship is open to all Connecticut residents 21 years of age or younger who are already a certified open water scuba diver and are looking to extend their scuba training with the advanced open water course.

This $800 scholarship is to cover most if not all of the cost associated with completing an advanced open water course with any local dive shop or independent instructor. The funds can be used for online electronic learning, tuition and equipment associated with the course. Disbursement will be made directly to the dive shop or independent instructor.

Those applying for this program must submit proof of certification. Completion of the Diver Medical Questionnaire will be required by your instructor. Applicants should review this questionnaire before applying to evaluate their eligibility.

Applications will be accepted starting February 1, 2026. All applications must be received by March 15, 2026. Scholarships will be awarded on or about March 31, 2026

Recipients will be required to agree to our terms and conditions. Please review this document before completing your application.

Training must be completed before December 31, 2026.
