Over his high school career, Connor continued his education and experience in scuba diving with a deep appreciation for the marine environment. Early in his senior year, Connor became a dive professional having been certified as a PADI Divemaster - a testament to his drive and determination.

His experience as a scuba diver was a key factor in him planning out his post high school pursuits. Connor’s plan involved majoring in marine biology. With a stellar high school academic record, he applied and was accepted into the University of Rhode Island’s marine biology program. URI has one of the premier programs in the United States for this field.

When SEA-CT was established in the summer of 2022 with the mission of fostering a new generation of ocean stewards through scuba diving training and education to young men and women we could not have had a better measure of success than the remarkable journey of Connor Martin.
